VOLUNTEER IN 2023

Are you the kind of person who naturally smiles to those you meet in the street, and gladly offer to help someone struggling up the stairs with their groceries? Then you’re on the track to help create the kinds of experiences we want for our guests. You have a desire to take on exciting responsibilities and help positively represent the carnival. You are helpful and do everything you can to create good experiences for our guests, artists, and other volunteers. You are welcoming, unbiased, and have a great energy. It is very important to us that everyone has fun during the carnival weekend and has a great experience.

Work tasks and hours

We expect you to work for one whole weekend from Thursday May 25 or Friday May 26 untill Monday, May 29. Typically, shifts are between 6-8 hours a day, so there are lots of opportunities to experience the variety of shows and other entertainment during the weekend.

The tasks are everything related to putting on a big festival, listet here in groups:

  • A: Guarding entrances, stage assistance, backstage

  • B: Bars, chaperoning parades, eco patrol

  • C: Creative setup and demolition

  • D: Kids Carnival

  • E: Lighting & sound workers, power and technology etc.

What do you get out of it

You get an unforgettable and fun weekend, where you most likely will get a lot of new friends. You get a Crew t-shirt, food and drinks, and special access to our afterparty Sunday night, where our artists celebrate a long and busy weekend. The combination of the festival and all the fun experiences around it often have our volunteers returning, year after year, for a great experience.

As many of our fantastic volunteers want to participate for consecutive years, some of the assignments may already be fully occupied. Nevertheless, we promise that regardless of the work to be done, our volunteer teams always have fun together, and once you have been a volunteer, you’ll be offered tasks for the next carnival before everyone else! Please complete the application form below, and we will try our best to meet your wishes.

Note: You must be 18 years old and speak either Danish or English.
According to Danish law, we must obtain a child certificate for volunteers who come in contact with children under 15 years of age, for safety reasons.
